ABOUT JOCELYN

Jocelyn comes from a background in Creative Writing where she enjoyed exploring people and their stories. She sees her transition into counselling as a continuation of this work; helping clients to explore their own stories and the stories we tell as a culture.
Working from a generalist counselling perspective, Jocelyn aims to meet my clients where they're at. She does have a particular interest in helping individuals navigate relationships, sexuality, and life transitions. She is a long-time Yukoner and thinks it gives her a unique understanding of life “up here”.

Jocelyn has a Masters of Art in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and is a Certified Canadian Counsellor. In her therapy practice she incorporates her knowledge from a variety of modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Emotional Focused Individual Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
